Travels with Grammy

I've just returned from a swing around the country visiting our children and grandchildren.  What a blast!!!  First, spent a week with Amy and Kelly's family in Appleton--I tended for five days while A and K went to Florida.  It reminded me about how demanding is the job of Mom.  Also about how glad I am that my youngest child is now 22.  No more toilet training, spilled milk, carpools, night-time throwing up food from McDonalds, tantrums, (well, almost) and 60 minute bed-time rituals.  I loved it, though.

Then, off to Richmond to be with Kath and Trevor for his graduation and to help with their impending move.  It was a time of work, fun, work, celebration, and more work.  Kath was really organized and had many things already boxed.  There were still a few more projects to complete the remodel of their house which Todd Winegar and Trevor worked hard on.  It was extra fun to be there with Todd and Jacque.   Congrats to  Dr. Winegar!!!

Back to Appleton for 24 hours--which just happened to be Amy's birthday.  Great timing.  One of her dear friends tended Anna and Daisy so we could go to lunch and visit the local knitting store.  Happy, happy birthday, Amy!!  You're a spectacular mom and homemaker.
